Frequently Asked Questions About Furniture Receiving & Storage in Louisville, KY

When does BAI White Glove bill for receiving and storage?

BAI White Glove bills receiving at the time of service. Storage is billed weekly based on space in use for the previous week, and delivery is billed after the job is complete. All charges are itemized and processed automatically through our platform, so interior designers always know what they’re being billed for and when.

The client pays for receiving and storage, not the designer. BAI White Glove’s transparent, itemized pricing is built so interior design firms can pass costs directly to their clients without markup guesswork or difficult billing conversations.

No, BAI White Glove is NOT a household moving company. We provides business-to-business (B2B) receiving, inspection, and climate-controlled storage exclusively for the interior design trade. Because we don’t handle residential moves, our receiving, storage, and delivery standards are built specifically around FF&E consolidation (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) and the protection of valuable art, antiques, vintage furnishings and other high quality furniture that interior designers specify.

No. BAI White Glove works exclusively with interior design firms, not their end clients. We do not coordinate pickup, scheduling, or communicate directly with a designer’s homeowner client — the design firm remains the sole point of contact throughout the process.

Yes!  We are open 5 days a week from 9-4. Let us know you’re coming and what you want to pick up by scheduling a pickup booking in your client portal. There is no charge for pickups of small items you can easily carry yourself. If you require loading in your vehicle we charge a $200 assisted pickup fee. There is no charge for pickups by your professional, insured movers, we just ask that you complete a pickup booking through your client portal to ensure that we have the correct items ready for pickup.

Designers can track inventory in real time through BAI White Glove’s proprietary client portal. The system shows exactly what’s on hand, when each item arrived, and current storage charges, with no phone calls or manual inventory checks required. You’ll get an email as soon as an item is received, inspected and when issues arrive so you’ll know to check the portal for more info.

Every item received at BAI White Glove is inspected within 48 hours of arrival ensuring that you, the designer, have adequate time to make a claim with your vendor in the typical 48-72 hour window to report damages. If freight damage a manufacturing defect, or even an item in the wrong color is discovered upon inspection, you, the designer, are notified immediately with photo documentation, before it becomes a problem on installation day.

Paying more for white glove furniture receiving and storage buys climate control, careful inspection by a team trained by a 20 year design industry veteran, and accountability that budget or generic warehousing doesn’t include. BAI White Glove’s rate reflects climate-controlled storage that protects wood, upholstery, and finishes from humidity and temperature swings, a documented inspection process that catches damage or issues before it becomes the designer’s problem, and real-time inventory visibility so nothing gets lost or mishandled between receipt and delivery. For high-value interior design pieces, the cost difference is protection against damage, delay, and disputed claims — not just square footage.

BAI White Glove provides receiving, storage, and delivery services throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and southern Indiana, including Louisville, Nashville, Lexington, Cincinnati, and the surrounding region. Interior designers working on projects outside this footprint should contact BAI White Glove directly to confirm availability.

Yes. BAI White Glove applies the same receiving, inspection, and climate-controlled storage standards to a single item as it does to a full house of FF&E. There’s no small-order penalty, and designers get the same real-time visibility and reporting regardless of order size.
